Sardinia is a place to explore throughout the year, to travel around and feel excited about so you can take home with you a scent, a memory and a feeling.
Simona Melis is a tourist guide and interpretive nature guide.
She has always had a passion for travel since she was little.
She lived in Egypt, where she attended primary school, and recently she has lived in South America between Chile and Colombia.
She has worked for many years in tourism, starting from her initial experiences in reception work, to working as a travel agent, up to achieving the qualification to become a professional tourist guide in 2013.
Since that time, she has accompanied groups and single travellers interested in learning about the history, culture and traditions of our island.
She has chosen to live in Sardinia, where, in 2018, the project “My authentic Sardinia” was created.
Simona collaborates with many other colleagues, nature guides, tourist guides, local producers, farms, agriculturalists, and artisans.
She is a regional registered Tourist guide (number 1581)
Interpretive Nature Guide AIGAE (number SA529)
Languages spoken: English, French and Spanish
My Authentic Sardinia is a project created from the desire to offer excursions and activities in line with the ethics of responsible tourism, where at the heart of the trip is a deep understanding of the place visited and its reality.
Whoever travels today feels the need not only to appreciate the beauty of the territory but also to be involved and connected with the people who live and work there, having the chance to get to know something that they can’t find anywhere else.
For those who wish to have an authentic experience, connected to everyday life, culture, traditions and to immerse themselves in a world far away from their daily routine.
