Nivola Artisan Carpentry was started in the 60s by Gonario Nivola, father of Antonio, after a period of youth apprenticeship with some artisans in Orani and neighbouring villages.
In 1993, after his technical college studies and a brief spell at the University of Milan, Antonio decided to take responsibility of the family shop and completely re-establish it.
His experience in Milan allowed him to learn about design and indoor architecture, which have inspired him since his first creations.
The idea on which its furniture and home accessories are based is very simple and is principally based on the ancient technique of joinery.
With this technique, he creates seasoned and fine solid wood objects, with a minimalist design, which emphasises the chromatic characteristics of wood and where the visible joint forms the main ornamental motif and structural core.
