The trekking network of the province of Nuoro includes miles and miles of marked trails for enthusiasts of hiking, cycling, mountain biking, equestrian tourism. There’s something for everyone: from families to trails designed for more experienced hikers. From bridle paths to nature trails, from strolls to Nordic walking.

Get ready to traverse captivating trails from those closer to the cities such as the paths on Monte Ortobene in Nuoro, to the geo-mining walks near Funtana Raminosa in Barbagia or the old mine of Sos Enattos in Lula. Experienced hikers looking for a thrill will love the trails for exploring the wildest areas of this destination from Supramonte to the Ogliastra tacchi, up to Montalbo. 

Can you imagine the many emotions that await you standing in front of a limestone massif shaped by wind and time?  Discover the trails that will bring you closer to the natural treasures of the province of Nuoro, the scale of San Giorgio, the canyon of Gorropu. A few hours walk on one of the many footpaths of eastern Sardinia you can spot mouflon, golden eagles and other animals emblematic of the Sardinian fauna and discover that contact with nature, if witnessed with respectful attention to its inhabitants, is very rewarding.

Sardinia East Land’s trails will lead you to incredible panoramic viewpoints, to caves, and to thunderous waterfalls. You will come across rare natural wonders such as peonies and indigenous plants in the exquisite and hidden ecosystem of Supramonte.

You will walk in the silence of the woods interrupted by the sparkling sound of uncontaminated streams, in a fairy-tale landscape full of delicate flowers, precious orchids, colorful mushrooms and treasures to be appreciated with the naked eye or behind the lens of a camera

In the province of Nuoro there are 4 of the 10 macro-regions in which the network of regional footpaths is organized. Between rugged and fierce granite, alternating with pastures and vineyards, gardens and orchards, you will come across ancient churches and places to rest that afford incomparable views. 

From Tepilora to Montalbo to the paths of Marghine, from the immense karst sinkhole of Su Suercone, to the wonders of Gennargentu, from the treasures of Marghine to the Ogliastra Tacchi, you will retrace the ancient paths of cattle drivers and the mule tracks marked out by coal miners to be welcomed by the shelter of old sheepfolds, shepherds huts and campsites, simple refuges full of history.
