AZIENDA AGRITURISTICA PUNTA LIZZU

The holiday farm company Punta Lizzu is located within the area of Siniscola, in the Province of Nuoro.

The business has many activities that naturally are connected to agricultural work, which is the main importance for our production and operational holiday farm business.

Throughout the year, Punta Lizzu oversees raising livestock: around 50 sheep, from which we obtain meat, milk and cheese, which we offer during the season on our restaurant’s menu. The sows provide us with meat and cured meats and are also for domestic production.

The cheese of Seatas is produced and processed by us, along with pasta and different traditional sweets such as casatìnas, orillètas, su pistìddu to name a few.

The beehives placed within the business property where thriving Mediterranean shrubs grow, allow us to produce excellent wildflower honey and, during different flowering periods, different varieties of honey, among which is bitter honey, obtained from the flower of the strawberry tree.

The vineyard with Cannonanu, Pascale di Cagliari and Vernaccia grapes produces a full-bodied and aromatic wine, with hints of ripened peaches and citrus. In the same plot of land, a citrus grove seasonally produces clementines, oranges, lemons and mandarins.

We produce an aromatic myrtle, picking the berries directly from within the business’ property. Even Pompia, the traditional sweet from Siniscola, is grown and processed at Puntu Lizzu. We produce the genuine “Sa Pompia” cooked in honey and conserved under glass and the liqueur of the same name (similar to limoncello, but with a very particular bitter after taste).

We cultivate olives at our facility at the foot of Monte Làtu, at Oreò, which has around 300 plants from which we obtain table olives and extra virgin olive oil that we use in cooking to dress our dishes and salads.

Many of our products are sold within the farmhouse both to guests and passing customers.

The accommodation at the farm is equipped with kitchenettes and all the necessary comforts. A third and fourth bed are available on request, such as children’s beds and cots.
