Valle di Lanaittu and Nuragic village of Tiscali

The Valle di Lanaittu (or Lanaitto) extends on the territory of Oliena and Dorgali. The land is covered by dense forests of holm oaks, olive trees and junipers. Among the woods some paths make their way through the mountain, a destination for enthusiasts and expert trekkers. At the border, with the territory of Dorgali the Nuragic village of Tiscali appears, hidden and mysterious, inhabited by the pre-nuragic civilizations until the Middle Ages. It consists of no less than forty huts and thirty dwellings. It is very interesting to observe the various construction techniques and their evolution over time, based on the styles used in the construction of the structures, researchers think that the village was used as a shelter for long periods but it was not a permanent place to live. A place definitely worth visiting to understand its history.
