The museum has been strongly willed by the citizens of the hilltop town of Bitti and is located in one of the wings of the farmers and shepherds cultural museum since 2005. The mission of the museum is the study and valorization of the several tenore singing traditional types in the island, a research center which wants to be the landmark for scholars, researchers, chantors groups. fond and visitors. The museum is made up by 4 rooms, the first with multimedia workstations equipped with monitors and ear-bands, the second with totems: 4 audiovisual columns placed as a circle as the 4 components of a Tenore singing band would do. In the third room there are several CDs at disposal where the visitors can listen to the different tenore singing of the island. The newest set up regards the ball room and offers a touching immersive experience taking back visitors to the squares and the local public spaces during local feasts. The museum is charming and innovative and takes advantage of digital media technologies to help everyone entering the mysterious and unique world of this tradition recognized by UNESCO.
