The slope of Supramonte that stretches on the territory of Urzulei is characterized by the presence of suggestive cuiles made with juniper branches and the incessant flow of two underground streams. The Flumineddu forms the canyon of Gorropu and the Codula di Luna, which flows gently to the Gulf of Orosei. Next to the streams there are more than 200 caves. Some of them are so deep that they reach into the heart of the mountains and are visited by speleologists from all over the world, such as su Eni de Istettai, while others, like the caves of Su Palu look like the set of a fairy tale. The Supramonte is the habitat of the mouflon and the golden eagle while the Sardinian deer was reintroduced in the faunal oasis of Portiscra.
