Ulassai Ogliastra

Su Marmuri cave and Lequarci waterfalls

In the territory of Ulassai it is possible to visit the biggest cave of Sardinia, with its fifty meters high and one kilometer long cave of Su Marmuri (of the whisper). It offers incredible and suggestive sceneries, the majesty of the entrance together with the stalagmites and the stalactites meeting inside leave the visitors open-mouthed, inside there are pits and small lakes on the wide rooms taking space, such as the Room of the organs.

Above the caves the water falls from the rocks forming the beautiful waterfalls of Lequarci which got their name from the river that is fifty meters to about 700 meters above sea level, the strength of the water that falls and flows impetuous during rainy periods is incredible, something absolutely worth seeing.
