Parish Church of Saint Agostino

The parish church of Saint Agostino is located in the centre of Belvì village. Little is known about the right time of its building although from a style analysis it is believed started from 1500 onward. 

The quadrangular façade is very simple with a wooden portal surrounded by a glass window and on the right side, the high bell tower square based with its little dome tiled with mayolicas. The church has a wide longitudinal diagram, a tiled roof and lateral windows. The ancient wooden covering can be viewed inside the building together with the two beautiful wooden altars dedicated to Saint Antonio Abate and the Lady Virgin del Rosario. Behind the marble main altar there is a chorus made with chestnut wood dating back to 1862. Locals celebrate Saint Agostino with a feast the 28th of August.
