Orgosolo murals

The Orgosolo murals are not simple murals to decorate the walls. They demonstrate fights, denunciations and hopes of the population of Orgosolo. They are capable of telling the stories and dramas of the country, protesting against power with the force of sharp irony. Francesco del Casino is considered to be the pioneer of this art, because, as a teacher, he and his students created a painting that honoured the resistance to Nazi-Fascism, inspiring many other artists who have painted the walls of the village over time, offering a unique atmosphere not to miss.
