Nuragic Sanctuary of Abini

In the federal Nuragic sanctuary of Abini, an incredible amount of Nuragic bronze figurines were discovered, some of which are truly extraordinary. The figurines were probably ex voto left by Nuragic pilgrims who participated in the water worship as evidenced by the sacred well. Today it is exhibited in the National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari. The bronze figurines portray vendors, praying people, archers and warriors with swords and shields, captured while praying and equipped with helmets surmounted with long horns and a flattened appendage curved forward.
