The Orolo nuragic complex located on the slopes of the Cuguruttu mountain at an height of 785 metres above sea level. Thanks to its dominating position on the Tirso river valley and all over Marghine it is thought to have a strategic function: its ancient inhabitants certainly could join a breathtaking view overlooking a wide area of central Sardinia. At a short distance from the nuraghe there are other interesting archaeological sites such as the Orolo Domus de janas, the dolmen and the Nuragic complexes of Carrarzu Iddìa and also the nuraghes Tintirriòlos, Coàttos e Pranu 'e Rùos. The monument was renovated in 1998 and it’s in very good condition. It is made of a two floors central tower and two secondary towers connected through a curtain. The main dungeon is almost 14 metres high with granite blocks. The lower chamber is forerunned by a hallway. The tholos sheltering is partially destroyed. The entrance opens the two minor tower hallways. The one on the left is better preserved and has a whole shelter.
