Monte Tarè

The Monte di Tarè with its porphyry rocks dominates the town of Ilbono with its 550 metres height. Being easily accessible by a road that starts directly from the village, the mountain is very popular among the people of Ilbono and tourists, who can enjoy an incredible panorama that streches from the southern slopes of Gennargentu to the Ogliastra coast and the Supramonte mountains of Baunei.

The mountain is covered with lush vegetation, including large holm oak trees. There are two springs, one of them, called Intramontes, has its spring between the two mountains, and this is where its name comes from. The route is suitable for everyone.
