Montalbo and archeological remains

Montalbo extends for the most part over the territory of Lula, a town that lies right at its foot and with which the mountain has a symbiotic relationship. The Sardinian Dolomite, of which Punta Caterina is the highest peak at over 1,000 metres, offers dozens of trekking itineraries in mesmerizing places such as the canyon of sas Piperai, the Janna di Murai passage and sa Tumba 'e Nurai. The white cliffs offer dozens of routes for climbing enthusiasts. The massif is dotted with natural cavities of karstic origin such as the concas de Omines Agrestes and de Crapas. The remains of the Nuragic and pre-Nuragic civilisation are numerous and incredible, such as the domus de Janas of Mannu 'e Gruris, the uraghe Littu Ertiches; the nuraghe 'a corridoio' at Pretichinosu, the complex nuraghe of Colovros; the settlement of s'Aliterraglia and the remains of a water cult temple at Untana 'e Deus.
