In the small village of Galtellì stands the doorway to the Literary Park dedicated to the Nuoro writer Grazia Deledda: the first Italian woman to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. A walk through the historic centre takes in the most important monuments linked to the story of the writer's life and works. There are two churches in particular which were mentioned in the novel: St. Peter's and the Holy Crucifix. The two houses that still exist today, which were the home of the Pintor sisters in the literary fiction of Deledda's Galte, can be seen from the outside.
