The nature of Meana Sardo stretches between mountains and hills and is characterised by numerous cool streams running through the area covered by dense Mediterranean vegetation. There is no shortage of natural beauty in the mountains. Starting from Mount Sant'Elia, from which the peaks of the Gennargentu can be admired, to Funtana Casida, a beautiful rural locality with a rich spring. The lush Ortuabis communal forest, also known as “Su Comunali” is not to be missed, as it is home to a rich flora with numerous rare endemic species where large calcareous boulders can also be found.
