A visit to Sardinia's largest ethnographic museum. It is divided into nine rooms Thematically, they offer a general representation of traditional life on the island, from work to festivity, through evidence of the ways of living and dressing, food, religiosity and popular imagination. An extraordinary cultural experience offered through pleasant settings and the viewing of more than 5,000 exhibits.
The Museum has a room for temporary exhibitions and an auditorium which, in addition to meetings and study seminars and the events periodically promoted by the Istituto Superiore Regionale Etnografico, such as international reviews of ethnographic documentaries, also hosts conferences, concerts and theatrical performances. The large inner courtyard is overlooked by a room dedicated to musical instruments and a section devoted to the main traditional Sardinian carnival masks.
