Church of Saint John the Baptist

Located in a panoramic position on the top of a hill, the parochial church of Saint John the Baptist in Orotelli is an imposing Romanesque monument made of red trachyte with a picturesque 14th-century bell tower. The church was also the seat of a temporary diocese in medieval times. The church of Saint John is among the oldest and most important churches in Orotelli, whose historic centre with granite houses is built around it.
