The church is situated in the upper part of Lodine and dates back to the 14th century. It was the town's former parochial church, later replaced by the more modern Saint Joseph Church. The stone building is very elegant in its simplicity and is a real attraction for those visiting the village of Lodine. A beautiful staircase leads to the entrance of the church. Outside, there is a lookout with a splendid view of Lake Gusana and the Gennargentu. Nearby the nuraghe Sas Trinta Battaglias can be found, also known as Lodine, from which the name of the village derives.
