Bruncu Santoru Natural Park

Situated in the vicinity of the village in the middle of a beautiful forest, the Bruncu Santoru Natural Park is an immense oasis where you can make pleasant excursions on paths surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, junipers and holm-oak trees. Along the way, you may be lucky enough to meet the Sardinian deer and mouflon, examples of protected fauna recently reintroduced in these territories. The crown jewel is the Sa Brecca de is Tapparas diaclasis, a natural rift that looks almost like a cave but with an open sky, where you walk along a narrow 300-metre path with incumbent walls (40 metres high), illuminated by the light filtering through the trees and rocks. The park also contains an anthracite field which is now abandoned that was used until the middle of the 20th century.
