In order to go back to the roots of Ollolai, it is necessary to visit the Archaeological Park of Santu Basili and to see its findings that reach the Iron Age, starting from the Middle Neolithic. The site was originally used to bury the dead, these burials back then were enriched with grave goods that included various ceramic, bronze and also obsidian objects, usually donated by friends and family of the deceased.
Inside the park you can also find Sa Conca Frabica, a shelter under the rock used until the Iron Age which preserves seven layers of archaeological excavations today that testify the history and function the place had over the centuries.
